    Hi, I just discovered this series on NU. I just wanted to ask: what about volumes 1 and 2? It's not listed on NU and you don't appear to have translated those either. Did someobe else do it but not posted on NU?

      Ah, I didn't pay attention to the licensing section. Besides not having enough money to buy licensed translations, I've always hated the hyper-localization inherent to them. I always go out of my way to find fan translations of novels and scanlations of mangas, if at all available. And the usual behavior of these companies regarding any copyright enforcement helps to never induce any guilt in myself—except for the tiny fraction that wouldn't be going to the author.

      One option here is to read the manga of the first two novels (freely available from the top menu, under Guardian of the Spirit > Mangas), then read the fan-translated novels. That way, you'll be caught up on the characters and plot. I didn't really like the first novel, but the second might be the best in the series, so I would recommend picking it up when you have time/money to spare.
