With a hissing sound, the monstrous giant flowed under Hyakkimaru's feet. Hyakkimaru's left sword arm detached at the elbow and flew straight at the giant's head.
The giant was injured, but not killed. The vengeful spirit possessing it had the advantage of immortality.
"Ah!"
With one last cry, Hyakkimaru was swallowed up by the monstrous giant. His blood sprayed into the river below. After a little while, his skeleton fell into the river and faded away into nothingness.
