Note: Teito Monogatari is acquired, but on hold. Until Fire Hunter is over, I'm at capacity for novels I can translate, unfortunately. After Fire Hunter is done posting, Teito Monogatari will fill that spot.

The schedule is subject to change. My commitment is not to go slower than this. I can (and often do) go faster.

Completed translations are removed from the list yearly. Translation statistics also update once a year. All translations are housed on this blog and will be unless a lawyer yells at me to take them down.

Translation Requests

Got a translation request? No guarantees I'll honor it, but if it's anything like what I've been translating I may add it to the list. :) Put any requests in the comments below.

I hate that I have to do this, but some people either can't read or are downright rude, so here are some basic rules for translation requests:

(1) Include the title of the series and the author in your request. (Shockingly, I've had people reach out via email to translate X series with no author or context!)

(2) Request translations in this space. From now on, requests sent solely to my translation email will be ignored. (You can email me the request and post it here; that's fine. But I'll only reply to the request here.)

(3) (Optional, but loved): Include the ISBN number of the book or books you're requesting to have translated. Saves me a few minutes of Googling and makes both acquisition and research much easier. Also, do a quick Google search to see if someone else has fanlated or officially translated a book already. There are quite a few people out there just like me fighting the good fight. :)

    1. Sure thing! The series looks interesting and it's really cheap and easy for me to get, so I lose nothing by giving it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

I've added the series to this page and will update its status as I work on it :) Don't expect immediate updates, but I should be able to start working on it in a few months.

    2. I finally got these delivered yesterday! :) And as a bit of a bonus there are some extra short story collections by the author, including short stories set in the same world. It's like late Christmas. I should be able to do some prework on these this month.

  2. Hi, could I interest you in translating the Yatagarasu series by Chisato Abe?

The list of ISBNs can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yatagarasu_(novel_series)#Novels

    Thank you for your consideration!!

    1. Hi there! These are a bit pricey but they definitely align with my interests (and I *can* get them where I live, which is always an important consideration!) I acquired Teito Monogatari this month and should be able to afford the first and second book (at least) of Yatagarasu next month.

      It's on my list! :)

    3. Yatagarasu is on my list as well, and it's on sale in digital format so I've picked up the first book that way. I'll keep an eye out for physical copies for good prices this month.

      Take care!

  3. Hello. Just stumbled onto this site, and I wanted to thank you for translating Moribito, Fire Hunter, and hopefully Yatagarasu.

After watching each of their anime adaptations, I really wanted to read the source novels, but wasn't sure anyone had translated them. I really appreciate all the time, effort, and love this all must take.

    Thanks again!

    1. Thanks for your thanks :) Yatagarasu should start posting consistently this month or next month. You can check this post for status, links and how close to completion projects are.
